Starting with the Basics of skin care: Part 2

Last week we started you off with a basic skin care routine for those of you are just starting.  But skin care goes beyond what you’re putting on your face.  If you’re young, and just starting to experience minor breakouts on the face or body, here’s some tips to combat acne outside of you skin routine.

Showering in the morning is a common habit, but showering at night is more beneficial to fight body acne.  Use a dandruff fighting shampoo like Head and Shoulders to clear up body breakouts. It helps with seborrheic dermatitis, acne vulgaris and an acne-like inflammation of hair follicles called pityrosporum folliculitis because of its active ingredient, pyrithione zinc, and its antifungal properties Night time showers are important so you’re not contributing extra dirt and oil to your sheets. Having a clean pillowcase will help prevent clogged pores and breakouts This also helps with people who have allergies; you are washing away anything you may have come in contact with during the day and giving your body a fresh start in the morning.

The last thing we want is to be the cause of our own clogged pores and breakouts right? We want to do everything we can to prevent oils from being trapped. So ladies it is imperative that you clean your makeup brushes and sponges. By using clean hands and tools you are giving your skin a fighting chance of continuing to its glow up. Clean makeup tools means less bacteria build up in some of your favorite products.
